Where Do Feelings Come From?

heres a question "where do feelings come from? "

what would you answer to that question?  a majority of people answer the heart.
i am guessing they say that because of training form society and because our
chests can hurt when our feeling are.

the answert is feelings come from our thoughts and our actions.

feelings = thoughts + actions

how we think and how we act. so if we follow the trail of breadcrumbs. if we
change our thoughts. we also change our actions . then our feelings will change.

Thoughts are automatic. sometimes they pop up before we even realize we had
them. sometimes we think our thoughts silently. that is self talk. the things we
tell ourselves. if we change our self talk. we change our world. first we have
to identify what are self talk is.

take a notebook. any old notebook. do not be a perfectionist. as long as it does
not belong to someone else in the home.
make three columns on a page.
at the top of the page first column lable it think. second column lable it feel.
third column lable it do.
then by using either your imagination or visualization or actually going to a
clutter filled room in your home.

then ask yourself:

what are your thoughts?
how do you feel?
when you enter this room what do you typically do?

next write down your reactions in each of the three columns.

Repeat this exercise for every clutter filled room in your home.

When you are discontent, you always want more, more, more. Your desire can never
be satisfied. But when you practice contentment, you can say to yourself, 'Oh
yes -- I already have everything that I really need.'- Dalai Lama
